This scherenschnitte Christmas tree can be made into a three sided lantern or a card.

I adapted the tree design from a pattern I found here.
To make the card, download file and cut. Back the tree panel with contrasting paper.

To make the lantern, download file and cut.
Card and lantern files are HERE.
Crease between the windows.
Glue tab on right-hand side to inside of left-hand panel.
Back each window with thin paper. You could use parchment if you have it. I had some ancient airmail paper hanging around, so I used that.
Light with a battery operated tealight.
