Dutch Apple Sliceform

I posted a lattice version of a sliceform apple years ago, but somehow missed putting up the solid version!

Recently I was messing around with map pages making paper roses, and came across the page for the Netherlands, a beautiful green.  So, with a wink, I call this the Dutch Apple sliceform papercraft.

Back to School Papercrafts

The weather at my house turned cooler yesterday, and it's back to school soon here in the northeast.

Here are some school-themed papercrafting projects from the archives.

Little Red Schoolhouse Vellum House

This little paper schoolhouse is constructed much like the paper church

Perfect for a 3d village on a shelf.  Can be lighted with a battery operated tea light.  This design was adapted from a template on Little Glitter Houses.  This building measures approximately 3" wide and 4" deep.

Pleated Apple or Pumpkin Box Tutorial

apple box from cardstock
Last week I made this in red as an apple box. In orange, it makes a pumpkin box. You may remember the similar six sided acorn box, from last year.

Apples

Back to School! I made three apple projects this week.

My pleated apple box with a lid is a cousin of the acorn box.

The apple box has 8 sides rather than 6.

Apple box templates and tutorial are up!

I made a solid version and a lattice version of an apple sliceform.

If you've made my sliceform pumpkins, solid or lattice , you will have no trouble with the sliceform apples.
Files for the lattice apple are here.

The Lost Month

School is finally out! I've been barely keeping my head above water in May and June.

Since Mother's Day, I've made:

Three of these zig zag fold Thank You cards for my volunteers at my "real" job.

Four of these pop up cards for a fundraiser.

One of these candy bouquets with a dog paper model for a birthday.

One of these pop up cards for Father's Day.

One of these paper roses for a music teacher.

Two of these money boxes for graduates: one red, one blue.

Three of these pop up words Thank You notes for scholarships.

Two of the heart ones in red and blue. One in yellow and blue for Rotary.

Fourteen of these paper pieced fox Thank You cards for work.

Still to do: a pop up school bus Thank You for our school transportation department, which has retrieved innumerable of my children's belongings over the past 16 years!

Ecole Pop Up Tutorial

I started with a vintage French school room graphic from Agence Eureka to make this challenging ecole pop up card.

If you don't read French the site can be a little daunting to search. You may find her Flickr photostream easier to navigate. Lots to love!
