Make a quick lizard pop up card with a printable from Paper Box World and the pop up mechanism from my closed top box tutorial.
Download the lizard printable from Paper Box World.
Cut out the lizard. Cut off and discard the glue tabs and the bottom square (the one with the logo on it). Score and crease all fold lines.
Score and crease a vertical center line down the face of the lizard.
Fold feet up.
Download, cut out (black lines), and score (red lines) the prop.
Fold it in half the long way and glue the center together leaving the four end tabs unglued.
Fold down the top tabs of the prop, one on either side.
Flip the lizard to the wrong side.
Glue one tab of the prop to the lizard, aligning the fold of the prop tab with the fold of the head spike piece.
Spread glue on the head spikes and the other prop tab. Match up the head spikes and glue together. Let dry.
Flatten lizard with the head piece folded into the inside of the cube.
The prop should be sticking out of the bottom of the flattened lizard.
Glue together spikes at back side of lizard.
Fold the bottom tabs of the prop up. Lay flattened lizard on base card and slide the crease of the bottom tabs into the center fold of the card.
Spread glue on the tab and two feet that you can see. Close card, flip it over and glue the other tab and two feet. Put a weight on the card and allow to dry.
