Hand or machine cut pieces: gown, mortar board and button, neck, hood chevron, sentiment boxes.

Adhere skin tone triangle behind yellow chevron.

Adhere yellow chevron to center top of large black square (gown).

Cut thin strips of paper and gather together to create tassel.
Place a glue dot in center of mortar board.  Attach tassel.  Cover with small black circle.

Create sentiment.  Adhere to card front.

Adhere mortar board to card with foam squares to pop it up slightly from the card front.

Adhere pearls to neckline.  I used pearl shank buttons, with the shanks removed.

Fold card base in half.  Adhere gown to front of card.
