Purse Birthday Card

Have you missed me?
August has been a month of crafting, but not much paper.

I did make this birthday card for my best friend.

The purse design was inspired by a card I saw on Ligaya's Creativity Zone.

I used tiny squares of self-stick magnetic tape to hold the card shut.

The inside pieces are adhered with thick foam dots to pop them off the page.

I only make remarks about her age because I'm older!

The purse, glasses and compact can be hand cut or machine cut.  The key and fob would be a bit challenging to hand cut.  I stacked multiple layers for the black parts of the key and fob to make them thicker.

The file is on three pages.

SVG and DXF users: each page is framed by a 12" x 12" square.  Use this to size the page after you import it into your cutting software, then delete the square before cutting the page.

Cut page 1 from your base color (mine is solid green).
Cut page 2 twice from decorative paper.  One set is for the inside of the purse, and one set is for the outside.
Cut the various objects on page 3 from different colors of paper. Depending upon your software and machine you may be able to select and deselect the items by layer, or you may have to move (or delete) the unwanted things off your mat as you cut the various elements.
