Daisy Sliceform Torus

sliceform torus daisy

How to make sliceforms (torus).

This daisy torus, like the leaf edge torus previously published, purposely does not collapse flat.

I was inspired by Yoshinobu Miyamoto, and Elaine Wolfe's scalloped edge torus.

How to make this daisy torus

Download file set:
Silhouette Studio, PDF, DXF, SVG (how to use my SVG files in Cricut Design Space).

Files download for free; pay what you wish for the tutorial and to support this site. Suggested contribution for this project is $1.99.

Cut 8 of each piece.

Assembly is the same as the leaf edged torus.

I took Elaine Wolf's suggestion and narrowed the slots to points. This should help the pieces stick together as you assemble the torus.

Love your version of the torus. Keep up the great work. (Isn't math wonderful!) I think you should give it a stem and make it into a daisy like I did.

Have you seen my version of a Chrysanthemum?

I have also used the torus to create a turkey which I am in the process of posting for Thanksgiving.

Elaine, can't wait to see the turkey. I skipped right ahead to Christmas--right now I'm working on a large holly leaf version. It's ONE piece per sheet of paper, so I'm still cutting it out!

I am working on quite a few designs. I keep coming up with new ideas and I can't keep up with blogging about it all. I have made a holly leaf torus(Are you making one too?,My version is the same size as usual), headdresses for Thanksgiving...pilgrim, Indian, and turkey, a star Christmas ornament and an egg sliceform for Easter. I have partially completed a Ferris wheel and a goblet for New Years.

Yes, I'm doing a big holly wreath. It seemed a natural choice with the strong symmetry of the leaves.

I've done a sliceform egg. I think everyone who does sliceforms ends up making an egg at some point :)
